flyer bomb was the bomb?

Sometimes I’m pleasantly surprised by the sweet things in life. Or should I say the not so sweet things. I think when I prepare myself for the worst I am always wrong. Many examples today.. but one big one was hanging flyers for our show this week. Tonight we met up at the gas station to “bomb the city” with neon green paper. I can’t help but remember  laughing about Gabe’s staple gun abilities, Markus’ baggy pants running all over Lipscomb’s dark campus, and Steven’s incredible tape ripping accuracy even with frost bitten hands. Somehow we even ended up at our producer Russ Long’s house and hung a few surprise flyers up on his porch. This ended up making his dog bark at us, causing Oliver, his son to look out the window and say.. “Dad the band whose cd I sang on is outside on our porch!”

You never know what you’re gonna get. I need to remember that. I was tired from a long day and it seemed that the only medicine I really needed, I wouldn’t have prescribed for myself. I love my band. They are my best friends and I am thankful. Ben was at the superbowl.. holy cow. I don’t even know who ended up winning. shoot.

As David would say on his home videos when he was a kid: “I had a good day, that’s all.”
